How to Change a Tire on Toyota Camry [Step-by-Step Guide]
The Toyota Camry is America's best-selling sedan. The spare tire is stored in the trunk under the floor. This guide covers tire changes for 2020-2024 Camry models.
The spare tire is located in the trunk under the floor panel. Lift the trunk floor cover to access the spare tire, jack, and lug wrench.
The Camry has designated jack points on the pinch weld under the rocker panels. Look for small notches in the metal about 10 inches behind the front wheel or in front of the rear wheel.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Pull over to a flat, stable surface away from traffic. Turn on your hazard lights and engage the parking brake.

Put the Camry in Park and engage the parking brake firmly. Place wheel wedges behind the tire diagonally opposite the flat tire.

Open the trunk and lift the floor panel. Remove the spare tire, jack, and lug wrench from their storage locations.

Before lifting, use the lug wrench to loosen all 5 lug nuts on the flat tire about one turn each. Don't remove them yet.

Locate the jack point notch on the rocker panel near the flat tire. Position the jack under this point. Raise the Camry until the tire is 6 inches off the ground.

Warning: Ensure the jack is stable and properly seated under the jack point before lifting.
Remove all lug nuts and place them safely. Pull the flat tire straight off the wheel studs.

Mount the spare tire onto the wheel studs. Hand-tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern.

Lower the vehicle partially. Fully tighten all lug nuts in a star pattern. Lower completely and remove the jack.

Place the flat tire in the trunk. Store the jack and tools under the trunk floor. Replace the floor panel.
